These therapies are meant, in no way, to replace regular medical treatment, but rather to enhance that medical treatment.

About Hypnosis

Why Use Hypnosis

Hypnosis is intended to help you gain more control over undesired behaviors or emotions or to help you cope better with a wide range of medical conditions. Hypnosis isn't considered a treatment or a type of psychotherapy. Rather, it's a procedure typically used along with certain treatments and therapies to help a wide variety of conditions. Using various techniques of Hypnosis such as Parts Therapy, Regression Therapy, Inner Child, Somatic Healing, and more.

Hypnosis Works!

Above and beyond imagery or relaxation, regression is the heavy hitter of hypnotherapy. Find out how hypnotic regression can help.

WHAT IS HYPNOSIS? A Positive Approach!

Hypnosis is a way to bring about positive change in your life and make life better. Hypnosis helps center you and make you healthier mentally, physically, and emotionally.

How Well Does Hypnosis Work? Well enough that the American Medical Association has endorsed it as an effective way to modify behavior since 1957.

A Comparison Study Results Printed in American Health Magazine Reports:

Psychoanalysis: 38% recovery after 600 sessions
Behavior Therapy: 72% recovery after 22 sessions, while:

Hypnotherapy has a 93% recovery after 6 sessions

Your magnificent mind has such power. Your conscious mind makes up about 10 % of the total mind. The other 90% is the sub-conscious mind. Think of it as a large iceberg with about 10% above the water. It is the other 90% that usually sinks the ship. But, you can use your sub-conscious mind to drive you forward to attain what you want to accomplish. To change behavior and to achieve your dreams.

Many people have preconceived notions about hypnosis that probably came from movies, television or an experience with a stage show where people clucked like a chicken. In actuality, hypnotherapy has been recognized by the American Medical Association as a beneficial therapy for emotional and physical needs since 1957! It is a fun and rewarding way to lose weight, stop smoking or change other behavior. An overall feeling of well-being, optimism and comfort are gained. And there is nothing silly, superstitious, or goofy about it. You do not give away your control to the therapist. Quite the opposite, you gain control and power to achieve what you want.

As hypnotherapists we work with you using our expertise and training, but all hypnosis is self-hypnosis so you, our clients, are very much aware and participating at all times during the sessions. As your body relaxes your mind becomes hyper-alert and responsive to suggestions that will immediately benefit you.

In the November 19, 2008 issue of U S News and World Report there is an article entitled “Try Hypnosis and Counseling for IBS and Crohn's.” The article sites a study where people who used hypnosis for digestive issues had improvement in 61% to 75%. Whereas, only 7% of those not using it improved. Hypnosis is a very effective therapy.

Consider an Olympic Athlete. Do you think they say to themselves, "I'd like to go to the Olympics...but, I probably wouldn't make it?" No. They train and visualize and imagine themselves as winners. In fact, 83% of Olympic athletes use hypnosis or some form of sub-conscious mind therapy. It works. Try hypnotherapy for your team! You can have unlimited sports success using the power of your mind to maintain a winning attitude, dissipate fears of injury, stop intimidation, increase endurance and perform at your best for every game. The same goes for individual sports. Golf, skiing, cycling etc. can be enhanced using hypnotherapy.

Some uses for hypnotherapy are: weight loss, stress relief, improving self-worth, improving academic performance, removing harmful baggage from life, relationship enrichment, sports performance enhancement, pain relief, IBS or constipation relief, smoking cessation or falling asleep easily. The list goes on and on.

PARTS THERAPY: is based on the concept that our personality is composed of a number of various parts. Our personality parts are aspects of the subconscious, each with their respective jobs or functions of the inner mind. In other words, we tend to wear many different hats as we walk through the path of life. For example: the part of you that wants to quit smoking and the part of you that loves or “needs smoking to relax”.

REGRESSION THERAPY: is a personal growth process that involves recovering to conscious awareness those troubling events from our past which, left unresolved, are impacting negatively on our present-day affairs. Unresolved issues can stem from situations in childhood, birth, prenatal states, “past lives or “between lives”.

Clients raise their level of self-esteem and they become much more aware of how they create their own reality. Thus they become much more self-empowered. As they come to know and accept who they actually are, their interaction with the world around them become real, here and now.

Somatic therapy is a holistically oriented therapy which integrates the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of each of us. It accomplishes this by helping us to become aware of our bodies and the sensations we experience through them.

INNER CHILD: We're all born with a natural tendency to be open, inquisitive, playful and full of wonder. Some people say this is naturally how we are, our “true self”. This child-personality remains a part of our psyche for life, and has some very positive characteristics which emerge in a sense of fun, creativity and spontaneity, if we allow it to.

However, our early childhood experiences have a major impact upon us. By the age of 5 or 6, this “divine child” as Jung referred to it can have been replaced by the “wounded child”. This is when we realize to our horror that the universe does not revolve around us. That it is not enough to simply be ourselves. To be loved by our parents we have to conform, be “good” (or quiet, or aggressive .. whatever our particular family dynamic emphasizes).

It is this “wounded child”, unconsciously carried around with us, angry, confused, frightened, insecure and manipulative, that is seen as the source of many of our difficulties as adults. That wounded child is frozen in time, influencing our behavior and decisions as it tries to re-write history and secure the unconditional love and approval it desperately wants. Until we deal with the unresolved issues of early childhood, and satisfy the needs of our child-self, it’s difficult to move forward as healthy, balanced, mature adults.

Hypnosis is an excellent tool for efficiently working with your inner child, healing all his/her hurts, and many of your current problems.

And an assortment of other techniques.
